Typically the largest paved area of a property, a paver driveway can have a great impact on a home. Initial cost is higher relative to most other options but when the budget allows the visual effect can greatly increase curb appeal. Maintenance is similar to other materials, a clean and seal every other year will insure longevity. As with other flatwork, it is generally just the concrete pavers that require sealing to minimize color fade so when avoidance of chemical use is a goal natural pavers such as stone or brick may be worth considering. Application of polymeric sand during installation will also help minimize maintenance by preventing weed growth.
